My friend John, an avid birder, turned 90 on April 13th. When I asked him what was the most impressive bird he ever saw with his own eyes, he told me of the Resplendent Quetzal he encountered in Mexico some years ago with his late wife Margo. Here is the piece I created for his birthday, made from archival inkjet prints, watercolor, and collage.
